Novolog insulin is the only prescription I am currently taking. I also use various herbs along with some relaxing methods to take care of my acid reflux and a slow thyroid.

Since stress elevates your blood sugars, and most drugs make your sugars go sky-high, diabetes-wise, you need all the help you can get.
Taking Time Out For Yourself
1. Take some Me Time- turn off the phone, go to a quiet room take your shoes off and relax, even if it's only 5 minutes.
2. Take a warm bath and light some soy candles to relax by.
3. Go outside and play in the garden, or to the park.
4. Buy your favorite flower and smell its wonderful aroma.
5. Go swimming
Stress is also a cause of Diabetes

Along With Diabetic Weight-Management
I have made some major changes in my daily diet and daily routine of habits such as; previously drinking 5-6 cups of unsweetened coffee per day, along with 1 regular daily soda.
Not to mention exchanging the sugary carbohydrates, I loved to eat for the tasty non-reactive one's.
Ironically it is amazing some of the sweets I used to eat more often than I should.
Not to say I never eat sugar, I do. Now after just one bite, of something really sweet I have to spit it out because now it is too sweet.
Seeing other Diabetics, who were out of control with kidney disease, gangrene, heart-attacks, and obesity scared me to change myself physically as well as mentally before it was too late to make positive changes.
This greatly helped reduce my stress levels, A1c or blood sugars, cholesterol, blood pressure, along with a successful weight management, I am happy with today.
I went from an A1C of 7.1 to 5.6
with exchanging the bad for the tasty healthy good foods & drinks.
Nobody can or should lecture you on the proper care of your Diabetes.
